For the International women's day (8th of march), the ferry company Manche Ile Express invited all women on a day trip to Jersey from Normandy for free. How nice! I jumped on the occasion to visit this beautiful island once again with my mum.
Arrival in St Hélier, the capital city of this English island roughly one hour off the french coast.
We walked around the Corbière lighthouse, on the south east of this 44,87 square miles island.
I was touched by the message on this bench.
You can find a lot of those little cabins on the side of the road. You can buy local fruits, vegetables and flowers. You help yourself and leave the money in the piggy bank!
We visited St Aubin, a seaside resortwhere we ate fish & chips of course!
Sample from Jersey pottery's products. The jersey cow is well represented.
St Hélier's indoor market is worth seeing for its old-fashioned style and fresh produce.
I love Jersey because it brings together Normandy and England and it is great for shopping (Jersey is a tax free island!). What else can you ask for?
